I believe the numbers in the file names are for your convenience only and that Palview just looks at the two first characters (e.g. "wk"). However Andrew Templeton knows this of course. PalMate checks the size of the selected piece and board images and will tell you if they don't match. In any case for your own convenience it is wise to keep different piece images (sizes) in different folders. Regards Eric
